18mm diameter. Silver plated locking button cover with flat pad for gluing. 18mm diameter. I am not sure who invented these but the premise for button covers is ingenious. The top allows you to glue something very decorative on. Could be anything from rhinestone embellished ornaments, to something for the holiday moment like little snowmen, pumpkins etc. Maybe an actual antique button. Once the item is glued on the pad, you then open up the back and slide the button into the slot, close the thing back up like a locket with the button inside... the button cover and your decorative item is displayed where your button was. Very cool seen people do all kinds of things with them.
