Size is 5.7 inches tall 3.5 inches wide. Condition is excellent on this. I purchased this in an antique store simply because I liked it. It is a very cool design. Of course the point of collecting is to then go and see what you can find out about the piece. I don't care where you look the only thing that people are claiming on this style vase is that they were made pre 1900 by Thomas Webb & Sons of England called the Moroccan Tapestry design. I have to admit to being a skeptic of this claim. My first reason is the pieces all seem to be in essentially "new" condition. As is this one. I see some look like someone smeared some dirt on or perhaps wiped away some gold leaf. I see sellers that seem to be able sell one of these and a month later presto another appears. If you go to google and do an image search with the phrase ( moroccan webb vase ) you are going to see all styles of this type of vase. If you follow the links 90% go back to ebay sellers. It seems odd to me. There is very little out there other then ebay sellers offering these vases. Anyway, I don't really know. The only knowledge I have gained is from what other Ebay sellers seem to all be saying. That is all I can offer in terms of insight. Aside from any provenance it is a very attractive and unique style .
I have been
collecting Art Glass for about 20 years. I used to live next to a large
flea market and a couple big antique malls. So I would pick things up
whenever I saw something that fit the collection or I thought was a good
deal. I sold about 50 paperweights last summer and I am getting pushed
to sell the rest as I am relocating. Please check out my ebay store as I
will be putting things up all summer. Thanks
